Why am I getting notifications?

Ive been happy with the previous versions of Interval Timer but now with the latest update Im getting these encouragement notifications. How do I stop getting them?! Shut off in notifications hasnt done it. Please add a switch off to this addition. This app is now becoming another of those annoying apps that I will have to delete.
